New York Playwright, Gregory L. Hudson continues to "vigorously" fight back against Universal Studios, Eddie Murphy, the Courts, lawyers and anyone else who attempt to deprive him of the rights to his plays, No Harm, No Foul and Bronx House.
" I entrusted people with four of my major works and all four works were stolen." Enough is enough!
As for the little threats that I have recieved, "It will take a whole lot more than a little doll with blinking eyes to stop me. Any attempt against me or my family...will be met with a vengence that can only be met by the wrath of God himself." This is not a threat...it is a promise!
Maybe now the FBI, DA and the DOJ (Department of Justice) will do their jobs, investigate and put all of these people in jail who have engaged in the misconduct related to Hudson v. Universal.
They arrested Al Capone, John Gotti and others on "Rackeering charges," and yet, others are allowed to skirt the law at will.
It is very ironic that Americans are losing their lives daily in Iraq in an effort to ensure the right to due process for Iraqis, and yet, American Citizens like me are consistantly denied due process under American Jurisprudence. |

Hudson files a twenty-five million dollar ($25,000,000.00) "Default Judgment" against Heavy D.
Dwight Meyers, a/k/a Heavy D is at the center of Hudson's combined $175M dollar lawsuit against Eddie Murphy, Universal Studios and others.
Hudson claimed in his suits that he hand delivered copies of his plays, No Harm, No Foul and Bronx House to Heavy D, at the Seagrams building in New York City. At the time, Heavy D was CEO of Uptown Records, a Record Label under Universal Music Group.
Hudson provided the Courts with Verizon Telephone Records showing that communication had in fact occurred between the parties. (These records and the Motion for Default Judgment will be posted on this site shortly.)
To Hudson, lawyers, professors, authorities and others, the Court's dismissal of the complaint against Heavy D, inspite of the fact that he never answered the complaint or had representation, was a stunning suprise! The law clearly states that the Court may only dismiss a complaint for "good cause" and since Heavy D never responded, he never offered or had a good cause.
The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeal affirmed (agreed with the lower Court) Judge Block's ruling and disregarded it's own long standing policy that "a party is in default if that party fails to respond to a properly served complaint. This ruling is now before the Supreme Court of the United States. In every jurisdiction, if a party fails to repond to a properly served complaint, that party waves the right to challenge the validity of the complaint, and therefore the Clerk must issue a default judgment against the defaulting party. |

Brian Grazer (who co-founded Imagine Films Entertainment with Ron Howard) co-produced the hit movie, Life, with Eddie Murphy, who also starred in the movie with Martin Lawrence, Heavy D and others.
Imagine Films is a subsidary of Universal Studios and was named in Hudson's $100M dollar copyright infringement suit. "Suspicously," the caption in this suit has been changed from Hudson v. Universal Pictures Inc., et al to Hudson v. Imagine Films. In spite of Hudson's protest, to this very day, not a single word and or questions has been raised by this act.
Notwithstanding the fact that this case has reached the Supreme Court of the United States, Hudson raised this issue in his Oral argument on March 18, 2005, before the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals and still no corrective action and/or investigation have taken place.
It stands to reason that a representative of the Court changed the caption; what is not clear is why. The belief is that the change was made to conceal Universal Studios' liability in this suit. Do the Courts now have the power to change the caption on any complaint at it discretion? Click on the file below to see Default Judgment against Heavy D. |
Heavy D, Eddie Murphy, Robert Ramsey, Matthew Stone, Brian Grazer, Imagine Films and Universal Pictures/Studios used my plays, No Harm, No Foul and Bronx House to create the hit movie, Life, starring Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Heavy D, Bernie Mac and others without my authorization. They are the ones who must now look the public in the eyes and explain their shameful actions. The evidence is here...and it is very clear. Photographs don't lie. "Under no circumstances am I willing to allow them or anyone else to simply take my work without repercussions." |
